February is a great month for festivities, important dates and special celebrations all over the world. We have pancake day here, or more traditionally known as Shrove Tuesday on the 17th. In America instead of Pancake Day they call it Mardi Gras which is French for "Fat Tuesday" with the famous parades taking place in New Orleans.
Chinese New Year falls on the 19th this year and it will be the year of the goat according to the Chinese 12-year animal zodiac cycle.
