So after an uncharacteristically cold and grey May we are hoping for a bright and sunny June and the early signs are looking good. We are very excited to be sharing our latest news and offers in this very special edition of our monthly newsletter.
It is believed that the month of June is named after the Roman goddess Juno, who is the wife of Jupiter and is also equivalent to the Greek goddess Hera. June claims two birthstones, both pearl and alexandrite and the birth flower is the rose.
It is British Flower week from the 15th - 19th of June. Now in its third year, British Flowers Week is the national celebration of seasonal, locally grown flowers and foliage. We already have a great stock of British flowers as part of our wide and varied range.
Celebrate our British Flowers by asking for one of our all British Flowers Bouquets. The pictured example below comes as a hand tied in a bubble of water, contained in a carry bag(not in pictured vase) and is £35. You can order by phone or by choosing the florist choice bouquet on our website and putting 'British Flowers' in the special instructions.
Flower School We are moving the flower school information off our monthly newsletter. Filling in this survey will ensure we will keep you updated of when we are running classes that may be of interest to you. So if you are interested make sure you fill in the survey :-)
The cost for classes are £35 per 2 hour session. Small class sizes of 3-6 people ensuring you get lots of individual attention. With each class, all flowers, containers and sundries are provided, and will be yours to take with you. We will cover a selection of different floral designs (one per class) covering all aspects of floral designs including hand-tied bouquets, Arrangements in floral foam, wired designs, glued designs and more. You will also learn about conditioning of flowers, names, principles of design. A fun way to learn the basics of floral design.
