We would like to thank everyone, who called into the shop over the past few weeks and had to put up with the dust and disarray whilst the painters/joiners/carpet fitters had our shop upside down! But we promise you its been worth it and our new look is amazing..... (we've even got laminate flooring!)
If you haven't called in to see us yet, then feel free to pop in and have a nosy for yourself! We hope you will love our newflower shop, as much as us!
Although we have stayed open throughout the refurb our official launch date of our new look is Wednesday 31st January!
So to celebrate this, the first 5 people to buy something on Wednesday will get a cute jam jar of seasonal flowers. And the first 5 people to place an order of flowers for delivery (over the phone or on our website) will get free box of chocolates added to their order.
As our gifts and flowers websites are separate if you want any of these delivered with your Valentines Flowers just give us a call and let us know.
Flower of the Month
February is bursting with elegance, as the flower of the month is the sweet smelling Freesia. Named by South African botanist Christian Ecklon, after his friend, Dr. Friedrich Freese, the Freesia symbolises friendship, trust, thoughtfulness, unconditional love, innocence and purity.
Our flower of the month, Freesia, is featured in this lovely hand tied freesia spring bouquet artfully arranged with gypsophila, genista and luscious greenery. Wrapped in a bubble of water and into a presentation box which makes them the complete gift bouquet
These flowers are a great pick me up, as the beautiful scent of freesia is really uplifting, making them the perfect birthday gift, get well soon flowers or simply "just because" flowers.
With Spring just around the corner we have just released the dates of our new flower school, we have an Easter door wreath workshop and a Spring flower arranging course... go to the flower school page on our Website to see details.
Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment either online or by giving us a call on 0151 724 4850
If you can't attend any this time, but are interested in our Flower School Workshops then why not subscribe to monthly dedicated Flower School newsletter, to be kept informed of all our workshop dates!
Keeping in with the Spring theme we decided to feature this wedding from a few years ago because I am sure you will agree the beautiful use of spring flowers. Anna was married at the Racquet Club in Liverpool who are a wedding venue in the heart of Liverpool.
Anna chose Booker Weddings as her Wedding Florists because we were able to work with her on the meaning of flowers and created beautiful bouquets containing red and blue flowers to symbolise the armed forced. This included tulips (declaration of love); agapanths (love); bouvardia (zest for life) and red anenome which traditionally symbolise remembrance and protection against evil.

We also have a dedicated Wedding flower newsletter where we give lots more detailed information and inspiration about the Weddings we do, so if you are getting married soon be sure to sign up for that!
