Flower of the Month The Anthurium originates from South America and was discovered in 1876. It, of course, symbolises exotic beauty.
Did you know that the flower is actually the spike sticking up from the brightly coloured bract? The waxy leaf (bract) comes in lots of bright, gleaming colours such as white, red, pink, purple, orange & green.
This tropical bouquet features the exotic Anthurium (or sometimes called painter palette). This bouquet features pink anthuriums, orange gerberas, purple lissianthus and yellow and green chrysanthemums, plus lots of luscious foliage and fancy leaves.
Katie chose a wedding flower theme of dusky lilac and ivory flowers which extended throughout her wedding and bridal party flowers. The wedding bouquet is made up of roses, astrantia and wax flowers and give an air of winter and spring.
Katie left us a lovely testimonial recently saying:
"Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Pat, Gemma and everyone at Booker flowers. We got married at the end of March and as the flowers were our main 'decoration' we had high expectations. What can I say? They were even more perfect than I had imagined and 'pinned' in the run up to the day. Pat did an amazing job putting everything together and was wonderful on the day setting up everything from the flowers for the bridal party, to the table centres and even the flowers for the cake. The hotel staff and guests commented on how beautiful they were. Thank you again so very much. xx"
